Guidelines for the Provision of Radiopharmacy Support to Nuclear Medicine

A report has been published by Nuclear Medicine Communications on guidelines for the provision of radiopharmacy support to nuclear medicine.  Click here  to access further details.
Adverse Reactions & Defective Products Databases

The UK Radiopharmacy Group act as coordinator for the collation of data relating to defective radiopharmaceutical products and patient adverse reactions. This data is carefully scrutinised and acts as a means of informing the UK Nuclear Medicine community of potentially serious defects in products as well as a compendium of drug interactions and reactions which are published on an annual basis in the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
To facilitate prompt reporting, we have developed two web-based forms (see links below). In the not-too-distant future it is planned to make the actual database available on-line, so you will be able to rapidly search for particular known problems, rather than wade through back copies of paper reports! A summary of adverse reactions reported in the United States can be viewed on the SNM web site.

Radiopharmacy Handbook

First published in April 1997, this handbook contains lots of useful information on radiopharmaceuticals, associated quality control tests, supplier contacts, and a formulary. It is now maintained as a HTML document on the UKRG web site .
Communications Network
The group maintains a database of names and addresses for the dissemination of information relevant to the practice of Radiopharmacy within the UK. On behalf of the EANM, Prof Steve Mather also maintains a useful email discussion group called RADPHARM. All the details can be found on the associated web site.
