The open learning programme was developed in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to support Trainers and practitioners develop the theoretical knowledge to support the practical aspects of clinical skills training and should be used in conjunction with a trainer. The trainer should be aware of local policies and procedures, be an experienced practitioner in the skill and have a recognized qualification in teaching and assessment The programme is aimed at practitioners who will -take blood samples-insert IV cannulars according to local policy. On completion of the programme practitioners will have acquired a level of knowledge that will support them in achieving competence in venepuncture and IV cannulation

This site is a web-based repository of pediatric PET/CT cases and nuclear medicine teaching tools for the international pediatric imaging community. It also provides forums for threaded discussion about interesting or challenging cases, an up-to-date calendar of pediatric radiology and nuclear medicine events, and serves as a site for a virtual journal club Additionally, the site will serve as a forum for questions and case discussions with world-wide participation. http://pednucmed.org/
