Information about the 2nd International Medical Olympiad
The aim of Medical Olympicus Association (MOA) is the advancement of medical art, science and research. MOA is organizing the “International Medical Olympicus Meeting” or “2nd International Medical Olympiad”, a congress of high quality where only original papers of social importance from all medical specialties shall be presented. This Scientific Meeting will be of interest to physicians, physicists, chemists, radiopharmacists, technologists, nurses and others interested in the practice of Medicine. The 1st such Meeting was held in Thessaloniki on 23-25 September 2011. The 2nd Olympiad will be held in Thessaloniki on 18-20 October 2013. Deadline for submission of papers is September 15, 2013. According to our constitution the Mayor and the President of the Medical School of Thessaloniki or their replacers are members of our Board.
An International Medical Advisory Committee, in collaboration with the Board of Directors of MOA, will co-ordinate the international activities of this meeting.
The three best original papers from all specialties will be awarded a medal and prizes during a special ceremony. A prize will also be provided for every medical specialty.
A short speech about Neo-hippocratic therapeutics will be delivered and a related small book about “Aspects of Neo-hippocratic Medicine” will be given to the attendants of the Olympiad.
Papers must be submitted either in full text or in a shorter text that shall clearly indicate their originality, social importance and statistical value. Papers may be published by their authors in any Journal they wish after the end of the meeting. In the final Programme of the Meeting the titles, authors and the Institutions of the papers accepted for presentation, will be published. A brief Abstract may be also published after authors' permission.
If the authors of the submitted articles for the 2nd Olympiad wish to publish their article in full text in a Supplement-Issue of the Hell J Nucl Med, indexed in PubMed etc. they must: a) submit the article in full text, b) accept the related Instructions to Authors (found in www.nuclmed.gr) and declare that they have no conflicts of interest.
