The UK is leading the way in the development of technologies leveraging the quantum manipulation and measurement techniques pioneered in the last 20 years in response to advances in quantum information, quantum computing and quantum information processing. Many of these technologies can be used to measure physical parameters such as DC or low frequency electric and magnetic fields, and then across the EM spectrum from microwaves to X-rays at very high precision and sensitivity. Physical effects have long been used to detect and image physiological effects. In this meeting we shall look at the next level of technology translation, namely into healthcare.
