Harrogate 2012 Review

40th Annual Meeting, Harrogate International Centre, 29 April - 2 May 2012

The BNMS returned to Harrogate this year for its 40th annual meeting and while the Yorkshire hospitality was warm the weather was not. The Scientific Committee, chaired by Dr Thomas Gruning, had assembled a full programme of scientific papers and continuing education sessions. The pre-meeting Sunday Boot Camp reviewed Paediatrics (Dr L Biassoni, Great Ormond Street Hospital), Thyroid including cancer and therapy (Prof V Lewington, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital), How to interpret myocardial perfusion scans (Prof R Underwood, Royal Brompton Hospital), and Neuroimaging (Prof S Vinjamuri, Royal Liverpool Hospital).

Manchester 2009 Review

Old Trafford, Manchester26th – 29th April, Manchester Central

By the time the fraternity read this it is likely that, with the exception of those lucky or talented enough to win a prize, the 37th Annual meeting will be a dim memory. This year I thought the educational content of the meeting was superb: Many thanks and congratulations to the scientific committee particularly Rak Ganatra and Alan Perkins.
