Sustainability Initiatives at BNMS Events

Bring Your Own Bottle & Notepad (#BYOBottle):
To support our sustainability goals, we encourage delegates to bring reusable water bottles and personal notepads. This simple action helps reduce single-use plastics and paper waste while supporting our wider eco-friendly mission.

Digital Resources:
To minimise paper use, all conference materials—including programmes and abstracts—are available digitally. This ensures easy access to information while supporting more sustainable event practices.

Eco-Friendly Conference Venues:
BNMS Spring Meetings are hosted at venues with a strong commitment to sustainability. These venues are recognised for their green initiatives, such as the use of 100% renewable energy, reduced waste through the elimination of single-use plastics, and the promotion of reusable water bottles. Catering services also prioritise locally sourced, sustainable produce to help lower the event’s environmental footprint.

Badges Without Plastic Wallets:
To further reduce plastic waste, event badges are provided without plastic wallets, encouraging a more sustainable and minimal approach to event materials.

By adopting these small but meaningful actions, you play an important role in helping us deliver a more sustainable event for everyone involved.
