Nominations for President-Elect 2026

The President-Elect must be a full member of the Society who has previously served at least one term as a member of the Council.
All craft groups are welcome to apply.
Nomination forms should be supported by two Full Members of whom only one may be from the same institution as the nominee.

Nominating BNMS members for State Honours

Nominations are welcome to celebrate those who have significantly contributed to nuclear medicine from all craft groups.
Anyone can now nominate an individual and the GOV.UK website has guidance about how the Honours System works and how to make a nomination.

Norman Veall Award 2026

If you would like to nominate a clinical scientist who has made an outstanding contribution to the science and/or practice of nuclear medicine in the United Kingdom please use the link below.

BNMS Roll of Honour 2026

The BNMS Roll of Honour is awarded by Officers however suggestions are welcome.  Please contact Honorary Secretary, Dr Amy Eccles: HonorarySecretary@bnms.org.uk,  if you would like to make a suggestion of a worthy recipient of this award.

RTN Award Nomination

The BNMS RTN Award is awarded to technologists, radiographers or nurses who have made an outstanding contribution in professional or technological aspects of nuclear medicine practice in the UK.

Please submit by 31 January 2026 by sending a brief statement in support of the nomination to BNMS RTN Group Chair or Secretary.

Nominations will be judged by members of the RTN Committee.

VACANCIES

RCR Travelling Professor 2025

The BNMS are  welcoming applications from nuclear medicine radiologist members to take part in the RCR Travelling Professor Scheme 2026.

BNMS Council Vacancies

Nominations are invited from Full members of the Society, from any professional group to fill this vacancy on council.
Criteria for nominations:
*Nominations are open to all professional groups
*All nominees should have been a full member of the society for at least one calendar year at the time of their nomination
*Trustees must be available to attend 4 meetings of council and two other BNMS events per year, they are also expected to engage in communications between board members (primarily by email) as required.
*Council members' term of office is 3 years. If required, a postal ballot will take place shortly after the closing date for nominations.

BNMS Professional Standards Committee (PSC) Vacancies

Nominations are invited from Full members of the Society to fill these vacancies on council from any professional group.
Criteria for nominations:
All nominees should have been a full member of the society for at least one calendar year at the time of their nomination
Applicants must be available to attend 4 meetings of PSC they are also expected to engage in communications between committee members (primarily by email) as required.
PSC members' term of office is 3 years.

BNMS Scientific & Education Committee (SEC) Vacancies

The British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Deputy Chair, leading to Chair, of the Scientific and Education Committee (SEC), representing the Clinical Scientists Group.

Applicants must have been members of the BNMS for 1 year before applying to the committee.
Successful applicants will step up to the committee at the BNMS AGM in Manchester during the Annual conference (20 - 22 April 2026) and will serve a three year term of office on the committee.

BNMS Medical Trainee Committee Vacancy

The BNMS Medical Trainee Committee is seeking expressions of interest to join the Committee and be the Trainee representative on the BNMS Council.

Nominations are invited from NM Physician residents, Clinical Radiology residents, pre-specialist residents not yet in NMP/CR training or medical students and should be BNMS members.

Applicants must be available to attend BNMS Medical Trainee Committee meetings 3 times a year via MS Teams and BNMS Council meetings 4 times a year.
