The BNMS awards a number of prizes to recognise excellence in nuclear medicine and funding through fellowships and funds.

New for 2023 - Ignac Fogelman Memorial Prize
This is a new award which will be awarded to an oral paper or poster presented from abstracts submitted at the Annual spring meeting concerning the science and practice of radionuclide imaging of the skeleton or bone densitometry.
New for 2023 - Muriel Buxton-Thomas Memorial Prize
This is a new award which will be awarded to an oral paper or poster presented from abstracts submitted at the Annual spring meeting concerning any aspect of Radionuclide Oncological imaging and therapy. NEW for 2023 - Physics Prize
This is a new award which will be open to all proffered papers on topics including: all aspects of radiation protection (dose assessment, work practice etc.); Monte Carlo method; Image/dose optimisation; Equipment/software assessment and characterisation: Novel techniques/image analysis. NEW for 2023 - Preclinical Prize
This is a new award and will be awarded to the best overall presentation, oral or poster, focusing on all aspects of research that is before clinical involvement, or biological studies that help understand clinical studies. This can include: Saul Hertz Memorial Award
This is a new award to be given for the best paper and best poster concerning the clinical use of radionuclide therapy. They are in memory of Dr Saul Hertz the founder of clinical nuclear medicine. BNMS Radiographers, Technologists and Nurses Group (RTNG) Award the Ros Breen Fund to Radiographer, Ellie Knowler
Ellie Knowler a Radiographer from University Hospital of Wales Cardiff was awarded £1000 from the Ros Breen Fund by the BNMS RTNG towards funding her studying on the Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Medicine at the University of the West of England.
