Medical Trainee Essay Competition

You are invited to take part in the fourth BNMS Medical Trainees Essay Competition 
launched by the BNMS Medical Trainees Committee. 

Two top entries will be invited to present their work in a 7-minute oral presentation at the BNMS Annual Spring meeting in Manchester. The top two entries will also receive a certificate of merit, free 1-day registration to the conference and economy travel expenses will be reimbursed. (UK only) 

Criteria: 
  • Open to all medical students and pre-speciality resident doctors (including foundation, core trainees and any non-consultant junior/resident doctors who don’t already hold a full national training number in Nuclear Medicine or Clinical Radiology).
  • You must be able to attend the BNMS Spring meeting from 20th – 22nd April 2026 (date of session tbc).
  • BNMS Trainee membership is encouraged. (Trainee membership £61 including BNMS journal Nuclear Medicine Communications: see more here: https://www.bnms.org.uk/page/JoinBNMS)
  • BNMS Student membership is free
  • Multi-person submissions will not be accepted.
