IAEA - Release of Nuclear Cardiology publication & recorded seminar series

The publication "Nuclear Cardiology: Guidance on the Implementation of SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging” IAEA Human Health Series No. 23, has been released.

This publication is a result of collaboration between renowned experts in the field and IAEA scientific staff members. It provides a detailed analysis of all the steps involved in the delivery of nuclear cardiology services, from referrals to reporting, and is intended to serve as guidance for the implementation, homogenization and enhancement of MPI practice in those Member States where the technique is under development.

We hope that this publication will further facilitate increased knowledge and better understanding of Nuclear Cardiology and its role as a cost effective tool for the evaluation and management of cardiac patients and its importance in diagnosis, prognosis and risk stratification.
