Why join the BNMS?

The world of nuclear medicine is changing and so are we. We are taking all the steps to continue to raise the profile of nuclear medicine and promote the clinical benefits of our specialty.

BNMS is much more than simply a group of professionals. The Society gives you the invaluable opportunity to network with other nuclear medicine professionals whose life's work is the same as yours. Through this network, you'll find the support you need to achieve outstanding patient care.

How much does membership cost?

How do I join?

Do I need to live in the UK to join?

No, we welcome members from all over the world. Overseas members pay only £184 and receive all the membership benefits, including a subscription to Nuclear Medicine Communications

Am I eligible for free membership?

Free membership is open to all undergraduate students on a recognised course. It is also open to retired BNMS members.

Am I entitled to claim a reduced rate for maternity leave?

Let us know if you are going on maternity leave and you can put your membership on hold for up to 12 months.

Will my subscription be reduced if I do not receive the paper copy of Nuclear Medicine Communications?

If you are a UK member we are unable to reduce the membership fee for online access only to NMC. However if you are an overseas member you can opt to access NMC online only and receive a reduced registration fee in line with UK membership.

Can I subscribe to Nuclear Medicine Communications without becoming a member?

Subscriptions to Nuclear Medicine Communications are available for Institutions and Individual Subscribers. Details are available online here: https://shop.lww.com/Nuclear-Medicine-Communications/p/0143-3636   Pricing for individuals is $1,104 USD/ £862 GBP.
Membership of the British Nuclear Medicine Society costs no more than £189 and includes a subscription to the Journal for most membership categories.

Do you have a retired member rate?

Yes, we do. Our retired members form a key part of our membership body.
Continuing as a retired member allows you to still be an active part of the Society, and receive all of the membership benefits it has to offer, apart from Nuclear medicine Communications. The fee of £47 includes reduced rates for attendance at conferences. Should you wish to continue your subscription to NMC please contact us for further details.
