Articles of Association

A special resolution to amend the Articles of Association of the British Nuclear Medicine Society (the ‘Society’) was agreed and passed by the Members on 23rd April, 2020:

The Resolution stated that the Articles of Association of the British Nuclear Medicine Society be amended to allow an extension of the terms of office for the current Ex Officio members of the Council of Trustees, so that each current Ex Officio member of the Council of Trustees be permitted to remain in office for an additional year, until the Annual General Meeting to be held in 2021.

For the avoidance of doubt, the changes to the Articles of Association of the Society affected by this Resolution are intended to provide continuity and stability to the Society in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and are not intended to effect a permanent change to the Articles of Association of the Society.

It is intended that the changes made take effect only for the period from the date of this resolution until the date of the Society’s Annual General Meeting in 2021. Immediately following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting in 2021, the Articles of Association, as existing immediately prior to the date of this Resolution, will come back into effect.

Temporary Articles of Association in effect from 23rd September 2020 until the date of the Society's Annual General Meeting in 2021
