Aims of BNMS Medical Trainee Committee

Increase awareness of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine amongst doctors-in-training and medical students.
Provide educational content for doctors-in-training and medical students to aid their understanding of working in Nuclear Medicine and the training pathways.
Provide opportunities for doctors-in -training and medical students to engage with the BNMS and improve their application for the specialties/training numbers.

Nuclear Medicine Essay Competition 2025

You are invited to take part in the third BNMS Medical Trainees Essay Competition launched by the BNMS Medical Trainees Committee. 

Two top entries will be invited to present their work in a 7-minute oral presentation at the BNMS Annual Spring meeting on Tuesday 20th May in Glasgow.  The top two entries will also receive a certificate of merit, free 1-day registration to the conference and economy travel expenses will be reimbursed. (UK only) 

Criteria: 
• Open to all medical student’s and pre-speciality junior/ resident doctors (including foundation, core trainees and any non-consultant junior/resident doctors who don’t already hold a full national training number).  
• You must be able to attend the BNMS Spring meeting on 20th May 2025.
