UK Audit questionnaire:
Standards
A Required by legislation. Any failure is regarded as serious and urgent corrective action is required
B Not compulsory but are expected to be reached by every department. Any failure would be expected to result in corrective action being recommended.
C Standards are desirable but not essential. Corrective action may improve the overall function of the department.
