Review of BNMS2017

17 January 2019   (0 Comments)

The 45th Annual Spring Meeting of the British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) took place on 20th - 22nd May 2017. The event was hosted at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Birmingham, for the 2nd year in a row with over 450 delegates attending over the 3 days.

The meeting provided a knowledge update for all those involved in Nuclear Medicine including clinicians, clinical scientists, radiopharmacists, radiographers, technologists and nurses, with a specific focus on UK practice. The large and impressive exhibition hall at the ICC provided a good environment for networking and interfacing with colleagues from industry with 28 exhibitors in attendance this year. There were over 60 invited speakers, with Professor Irene Virgolini, of the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, delivering this year’s annual lecture on ‘Radionuclide Theranostics in Prostate Cancer’.

The next scheduled BNMS meeting is the Autumn Meeting on 15th September 2017, in Liverpool.
