Following a meeting with the NCITA team who wrote the report: An overview of nuclear medicine research in the UK
and the landscape for clinical adoption, published in Nuclear Medicine Communications:
An overview of Nuclear Medicine Research in the UK
the BNMS agreed to establish a working group to produce a manifesto on the optimum process for commissioning of new PET-CT tracers. This group, lead by Dr Richard Graham, will work to determine best practice in the commissioning of new PET-CT tracers and inform the type of research studies that are required going forward to support the development of nuclear medicine imaging services for our patients.
