Publication of this paper is an important step forward as it will act as an anchor to all future work in relation to healthcare science in Scotland. It demonstrates a commitment to ensuring healthcare science is fully embedded in service planning and delivery at a local and national level, therefore ensuring the NHS in Scotland is prepared to meet the changing needs of our population.
