Sabina Dizdarevic We would like to welcome the new
President BNMS, Prof Sabina Dizdarevic,
from Royal Sussex County Hospital

I am deeply grateful and excited to begin my tenure as President of BNMS for the next two years. Your messages of support mean so much. Thank you! Having been a proud BNMS member for over 25 years, I remain fully committed to ensuring that our members remain at the heart of everything we do.

I extend my sincere appreciation to Jilly Croasdale for her outstanding leadership over the past two years as BNMS President, and to Stewart Redman for his invaluable contributions as Honorary Secretary. As Jilly transitions into her new role as Immediate Past President, I look forward to continuing our collaboration.

I am also delighted to welcome our inspiring new Honorary Secretary, Amy Eccles, and to continue working alongside our forward-thinking leadership team: our CEO, Charlotte Weston; our Treasurer, Charnie Kalirai; our dedicated BNMS office team—Caroline Oxley and Angelica Spina; our Council members; and the Chairs and members of the Scientific Education Committee (SEC), Research and Innovation Committee (RIC), Molecular Radiotherapy Consortium (MRT), and Professional Standards Committee (PSC). Together, we will strive to elevate BNMS’s achievements in the years ahead.

As we look to the future, there has never been a more pivotal time for nuclear medicine! Despite challenges such as infrastructure and workforce gaps, our field is evolving rapidly, offering unprecedented opportunities to enhance disease detection, treatment, and patient outcomes. Together, we will continue expanding BNMS’s contributions to clinical practice, research, education, and training across all multiprofessional groups—for the ultimate benefit of our patients.

I look forward to collaborating with each of you and embracing the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

We would like to welcome the new BNMS Honorary Secretary, Dr Amy Eccles from Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust
I’m so excited to be taking up the role of Honorary Secretary of BNMS. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful support and messages so far!

The BNMS goes from strength to strength and I want to continue this momentum alongside our new President, Professor Sabina Dizdarevic, and Treasurer, Mr Charnie Kalirai, as well the rest of the BNMS Council and admin team.

I’m keen to continue the fantastic efforts of my predecessor, Dr Stewart Redman; supporting the BNMS Council, SEC, Regional Leads, developing and strengthening the connections with other societies including The Society and College of Radiographers, UKRG, IPEM, The Royal College of Radiologists and The Royal College of Physicians to name but a few!

I am particularly keen to increase the link between doctors in training specialising in radionuclide radiology and those training as nuclear medicine physicians as well as working with the RTN group helping with their training needs and growing the Nuclear Medicine work force.
