Dr Arum Parthipun, Royal Free Hospital

I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed as the Royal College of Radiologists Nuclear Medicine Travelling Professor. The role involves visiting departments across the UK to deliver teaching, share experience and best practice, and support education and professional development within nuclear medicine. I see it as a wonderful opportunity to meet colleagues around the country, exchange ideas, and contribute to the continued development of the specialty.

A major focus of my work has been education and training within nuclear medicine, including the development and delivery of virtual teaching courses, interactive case-based education, and training activities for healthcare professionals involved in nuclear medicine and hybrid imaging. I am passionate about creating accessible, practical, and engaging educational opportunities that support learning and collaboration across the multidisciplinary nuclear medicine community.

Having been heavily involved in virtual education over recent years, I am especially looking forward to more face-to-face teaching and the opportunity to visit departments and meet colleagues in person. One of the things I value most about nuclear medicine is the openness of the community and the willingness of people to share knowledge and experience. I am very much looking forward to contributing to that spirit of collaboration through the Travelling Professor role.
